Description

The managed switch from Ubiquiti is mainly recommended for large professional networks and not for small and home networks. It offers the ability for the network admin to adjust its parameters regarding security, traffic prioritization, remote error correction, and other features. It has 24 ethernet ports with a maximum speed of 2.5Gbps. It features Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology, which allows it to transmit power and data simultaneously through an Ethernet cable. Before choosing a switch with PoE, you need to know how much power your devices draw. This particular switch has PoE (802.3af) and PoE+ (802.3at), suitable for high power requirements of devices such as IP video phones, HD PTZ IP cameras, 802.11ac (WiFi 5) AP, small audio speakers. It also has PoE++ (802.3bt) up to 60/90W per port, suitable for very high power requirements of devices such as HD PTZ IP cameras with heaters. It can be rack-mounted, making it suitable for installation along with others, providing many ports for an office network.
