The Mugen Seiki MBX8 Emulsion shock caps allow the use of a single cap for all conditions and variations in the construction of shocks with Mugen Seiki's 16mm shock bodies. With the Emulsion shock caps, you have the option to use standard bladders or opt for the alternative emulsion method. The package includes two emulsion shock caps, two pre-cut bladders, two shock cap plugs, two drain screws, and two aluminum washers.
The emulsion shock caps improve the vehicle's landing during heavy drops and provide a more precise feel during directional changes. Additionally, the emulsion caps perform exceptionally well in high-speed conditions.
Construction Instructions:
- Fill the shock with oil and work the shock up and down a few times.
- With the shocks standing, let them sit for a few minutes to allow the air to rise to the surface.
- Top off the shock with oil and add a few drops of oil to the shock cap.
- Remove the drain screw from the caps, screw the shock caps onto the shock body, and tighten them fully.
- Next, slowly compress the shock rod with the shock at a 45-degree angle to expel any excess oil.
- Once the shock rod is fully compressed, you can screw in the drain screw, wipe away any excess oil with a towel, and install the shock onto the vehicle.
