The Artpol HSS drill bit with a cylindrical shank is designed for drilling metal. It is made from high-speed steel and features a right-hand helix with a Type N flute, a 118° point angle and an oxide coating that reduces friction and improves drilling performance. It is suitable for workshop applications involving alloy and carbon steels with a tensile strength of up to 900 N/mm², grey and ductile cast iron, sintered iron products, non-ferrous metals and hard plastics.

Using a coolant helps extend the drill bit’s service life. Suitable coolants include drilling emulsion, lubricating and cooling oil, and ester oil.
