Solvents are substances that make it possible to dissolve fragrances and other non-soluble materials in a medium. To create a perfume, you always need such a “medium” to dissolve your mixture. The usual ratio ranges between 2 to 10 (Fragrance : Solvent), depending on the mixture.

One of the most popular solvents is the substance (R)-(−)-2,2-Dimethyl-1,3-dioxolane-4-ylmethanol, also known as solvent CM3000. It is widely used as a base for room fragrances and perfume creation.

The CM3000 solvent by Wax features:

  • Slow evaporation rate for long-lasting fragrances
  • Fully biodegradable, without burdening the marine environment
