The Pioneer DJ DM-40D-BT active studio monitors reproduce sound across a frequency range of 70 Hz–30 kHz and connect wirelessly via Bluetooth or by cable via RCA. The two-way design features a 4-inch fiberglass woofer and a 0.75-inch soft-dome tweeter. Groove technology and curved DECO diffusers help deliver bass performance and disperse high frequencies.

Class AB amplifiers and alignment of the tweeter with the woofer support low distortion and a balanced frequency response. Grooves in the ducts reduce air friction, while the curved front edges limit resonance. Supported codecs include SBC, AAC, Qualcomm aptX and Qualcomm aptX Low Latency.
