H MERKUR is a traditional Czech company that has been producing metal toy sets for over 100 years. The origins of production date back to 1920, when Mr. Jaroslav Vancl founded the company Inventor. Initially, the metal parts were joined together with metal hooks. In 1925, the manufacturer switched to a new system, which has remained unchanged until today. The metal parts are now connected with M 3.5 size screws and nuts. This step brought the set closer to real construction and provided more opportunities for children to play and work creatively. With the transition to the new system, the new trademark MERKUR was registered.
