The instant water heater is a type of heater that heats water in real time. It only heats the water that passes through it at that moment. There is no storage tank for hot water. This has many advantages, such as energy saving, as only the water that is used is heated, as well as longer lifespan, as there is no water tank and accumulation of salts in the heating element and other components.

It operates on electricity and is single-phase.

The instant water heater has a cold water inlet pipe, which passes through the resistance, heats up, and comes out in the hot water outlet pipe. A necessary condition for the instant water heater to initially operate is the pressure of the cold water inlet not to be too low.

The water temperature is regulated by a thermostat, so as not to exceed a maximum value. The temperatures reached by the hot water are pre-set so that someone can use the hot water directly, without the need for mixing with cold water.

The maximum temperature that can be reached for hot water production is 55 °C, while the maximum water flow rate reaches up to 4 liters per minute. As an indication, 38-42 °C degrees are the standard for shower use.
