Italeri: 1:72 Jaguar GR.1/GR.3 R.A.F.
The Jaguar is the result of the Anglo-French consortium established in 1965 for the construction of an advanced trainer-attack aircraft. Initially, the RAF planned to use it exclusively for training purposes, but over the years it was also intended for attacks.
In the early 1960s, the French Air Force was looking for a new aircraft to replace the old training aircraft T-33 and Fouga Magister, as well as the attack aircraft Mystere IV. In April 1964, the design of a new construction, initially named ECAT, began, and Breguet's Br 121 project moved to the next stage.
The RAF began to take an interest in the program, as they needed a training aircraft with similar characteristics. On May 17, 1965, an agreement was signed for joint production between France (Breguet) and Great Britain (British Aerospace), with the resulting consortium named SEPECAT.
