My current ambitious project, writing a book on printmaking, started as a thought to gather as much information as possible, both theoretical and practical, as well as all the knowledge I have gained and distilled while studying and mainly working - always experimenting - on an ancient form of art that has never ceased to enchant and inspire me.
This is because it has remained to me as mysterious as it is unpredictable, proving to me each time that the final result should almost never be considered predetermined, and leaving me ecstatic as I watch the successive transformations of my original design, my initial composition, on the plate.
To reward me each time with something uniquely authentic, which I have the capacity to reproduce multiple times. The ambition of this endeavor lies in my dream that this effort will seem interesting to younger or future colleagues of mine, as well as to every lover of this art.
The concise guide you hold in your hands is merely an introduction to the world of printmaking and the book. It is essentially everything I would want to encounter while leafing through a printmaking book.
