The König K-Summit Max K45 snow chains are external-type chains that are fitted and removed from the outside of the wheel. They attach to one of the wheel’s factory-fitted nuts or bolts, while the K-Lock tool, with its integrated torque indicator, helps with installation. The built-in ratchet tensions the chains, which automatically adjust into position while driving.

The tread chain combines special plastic plates with metal studs and a steel chain. The welded traction plates improve grip on snowy and icy surfaces, while the Wheel-Shield Level 0 design prevents the chain from contacting the alloy wheel. Adapters for 17, 19, 21 and 22 mm nuts or bolts are included. These chains are not intended for off-road use.
