The Genelec 4420a active studio monitor is a 2-way speaker housed in an MDE (Minimum Diffraction Enclosure) aluminum cabinet. SMART IP technology enables audio and power to be transmitted over a single Ethernet cable, with PoE and PoE+ power. It is compatible with Dante and open IP standards such as AES67 and ST2110-30.

The Ethernet connection provides access to Smart IP Manager software for configuring rooms and zones, assigning audio sources, and monitoring status. It features magnetically shielded low- and high-frequency drivers with DCW (Directivity Control Waveguide), as well as two Class D amplifiers rated at 50 W each.
