  • Variety

    Grenache Rouge

    It produces wines with relatively light color, moderate tannins, and aromas of red fruits (strawberry, cherry), spices (licorice, pepper), and often a sense of sweetness, even in dry versions. It is often used in blends and for the production of rosé wines.

    Mourvedre

    It gives wines with elegance, moderate tannins, good acidity, and aromas of red fruits, herbs, and spices.

    Syrah

    It gives dense wines with rich aromas of red and black fruits (blackberry, plum) and characteristic notes of black pepper, tobacco, or even leather. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with intense tannins and good structure.

Manousakis Winery started in 1984, when the hills around the village of Vatolakkos were untouched. The winery's team of experts decided to plant the Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre, and Roussanne varieties.

The winemaking takes place in stainless steel tanks with controlled temperature. Extraction lasts from 12 to 25 days. After the completion of the process, the wine is transferred to barrels of French and American oak for about 10 months.

The barrels are used for four years before being replaced.
