Description

The MONTANA METALLIC 400 is a spray with a metallic effect available in 15 shades. Equipped with a Montana Standard valve, these sprays provide excellent performance and reliability under medium output pressure.

Montana Metallic Effect colors are ideal for application on functional objects such as bicycles and furniture, but can also add a metallic shine to any creative or artistic project on:

  • paper
  • cardboard
  • primed canvas
  • wood
  • glass
  • metal
  • ceramics
  • porcelain
  • stone
  • acrylics
  • other painted materials

Made from an Acrylic-Nitro combination base, the color surface dries to a durable semi-gloss finish that is both hardening as it cures and flexible. It offers excellent lightfastness and can be combined with the Montana GOLD, Montana BLACK, and Montana ACRYLIC marker ranges.

Usage: For best results, shake the can vigorously for approximately 3 minutes before use and apply from a distance of 15 cm - 20 cm on a primed substrate. Shake again between intervals to ensure the pigment is mixed correctly. Pre-prime the substrate for better color outcome. Apply in thin layers, varying application paths from vertical to horizontal. The optimum usage temperature is between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius. Drying time is approximately 10 minutes for dust dry, 20 minutes to touch dry, and 24 hours for full cure. Drying times vary depending on room temperature and humidity levels. To protect your artwork, apply Montana spray varnish once the Metallic Effect colors are dry. Exposures to high temperatures above 80 degrees Celsius are not recommended.

    This review is about the colour: Metallic Titanium

    It is a very nice metallic color, truly a metallic look with grain. However, you need to be very careful if you are painting large surfaces; it requires a good primer and there is always the risk that the paint will crack after 10-15 days. At first it comes out flawless and perfect, but then it cracks and you have to make repairs. I didn't expect it at first, and the MDF panels that I primed and then painted with Montana ended up cracking on almost all the panels. In some cases, the repair is easy with a little acrylic putty and sanding. But in the end, you lose a lot of time with very high cost. They are extremely expensive, especially in Greece, and they run out much faster than you expect—you need three times the amount.
