Mavrotragano is a rare local red variety found mainly in Santorini and the wider Cyclades region. It constitutes a very small percentage of domestic production, which is due to the scarcity of grapes from this variety. For this reason, single-variety wines from Mavrotragano are extremely rare and highly sought after. This particular Mavrotragano from the Santorini Cooperative is released in just 5,000 bottles and is distinguished by its dynamic and full-bodied character. Ruby color and full-bodied on the nose, with a cocktail of red and black fruits such as cherries and berries, framed by notes of vanilla and smoke. Structured on the palate, with rounded tannins that indicate excellent aging potential.
