The main theme of this book is the modern shaping of the teaching role of the educator, in a time that requires promoting the learner towards acquiring the ability to search for and discover knowledge. This knowledge is necessary and essential for solving realistic and meaningful problems of everyday life for the learner. Therefore, this book aims to stimulate broader reflection on the "didactical action" of the contemporary educator. At the same time, the educator is perceived as a dynamic component that can contribute constructively to this implementation.

The author is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Primary Education at the University of Ioannina, specializing in "Didactic Methodology." He was born in Thessaloniki. He holds a degree from the Pedagogical Academy of Mytilene, a degree from the Department of Primary Education at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and postgraduate and doctoral degrees from the same university. He also holds a European Diploma in the training and education of teachers within the European Union. He has served as a primary education teacher, was responsible for Environmental Education in Primary Education in the Prefecture of Chalkidiki, and was a School Counselor for Primary Education in the Prefecture of Pieria. Additionally, he has taught at the University of Western Macedonia, Thessaly, and has authored eight pedagogy-oriented books, with a number of articles published in reputable Greek and international scientific journals.
