Description

The GIGABYTE Gen3 2500E SSD adopts the Phison controller and high-quality 3D NAND, providing up to 2400 MB/s sequential read and 1800 MB/s sequential write performance. By using Host Memory Buffer technology, the SSD controller can access the main DRAM without performance loss.

Additionally, the GIGABYTE Gen3 2500E SSD features support for TRIM, SMART, and Over-Provision for data security and stable performance.

Breaking the barriers of SATA limitations (1TB)

Excellent performance

  1. The GIGABYTE Gen3 2500E SSD provides performance for your everyday computing tasks, featuring the best controller and 3D NAND flash.
    1. Sequential read speeds up to 2400 MB/s
    2. Sequential write speeds up to 1800 MB/s
  2. The GIGABYTE Gen3 2500E SSD offers you a faster data transfer experience compared to a 2.5" SATA SSD.

Intermediate Memory Central Computer (HMB)

The Host Memory Buffer (HMB) feature uses PCI Express's Direct Memory Access (DMA) to allow SSDs to utilize a portion of the computer system's DRAM memory, instead of requiring the SSD to have its own DRAM.

Energy-saving operation

Compared to the regular SSD PCIe 3.0 x4, the GIGABYTE Gen3 2500E SSD reduces power consumption by approximately 40%+. The power efficiency of the GIGABYTE Gen3 2500E SSD is significantly improved.

    Verified purchase

This review is about the capacity: 1000 GB

Although it is not recommended for gaming, I baptized it and I can say that I am very satisfied. I don't see a huge difference in games from the Evo that I have on the other computer.

I think all the speed details for data transfers etc. are marketing tricks to get you into the trap. I mean, can a basic SSD run a game without losing frames? Not at all. Gigabyte even has its own cooler, and I am more than happy.
