The Vallejo Shifters create a visual effect of color change depending on the viewing angle. They can be worked with a brush, but the best results are achieved with the use of an airbrush. These paints are ideal for modeling, figure painting, artificial baits, illustration, and many other applications.

Depending on the light or angle, the color shifts from one shade to another. Shake well and apply in thin layers. The best effects are obtained over a glossy black color as a base. The multicolored pigments used in this formulation give the paint a vibrant metallic shine, while the glass-like coating acts as a refractive prism. Each flake displays a variety of colors depending on the viewing angle and exposure to light.

• Airbrush and compressor: The viscosity of the paint allows you to work with airbrushes with a 0.2 mm needle and above. The paints can be used directly or thinned with distilled water. The recommended ratio is 4 parts paint to 1 part water. Recommended compressor pressure: PSI 10-15.
• Mixing: It is possible to achieve different color-changing effects by mixing the colors.
• Brush application: For brush application, thin the paints with water in a ratio of 4 parts paint to 1 part distilled water. The paint should be applied with even strokes in one direction.
• Drying time: The paints dry very quickly on most surfaces. It is important to allow each layer to dry fully before applying the next.
