Mortlach is renowned for its sweet yet salty flavor, which is intriguingly rare among Speyside malts.

Inspired by this contrasting umami spark, the Malt Master drew inspiration from the flavors of Japan and matured part of this outstanding expression in ex-Kanosuke Japanese whisky casks.

To add balance to the sweetness, ex-pinot noir casks were used to finish the remainder of the whisky, in a combination of utmost precision.
