The Romed POP200X300 plaster bandage is used to immobilize fractures, after orthopedic procedures, and for orthopedic corrections. It reinforces the application of splints and casts. It consists of fabric with 17 threads of woven gauze and porous plaster made from calcium sulfate.
After being immersed in water for 3–4 minutes, the plaster absorbs water quickly and evenly, taking on a creamy texture that makes it easier to handle and mold. The cast is safe to transport after 30 minutes and dries completely within 12–24 hours. The recommended water temperature is 20–25 °C.
