Circuit diagram:

  • A cylindrical dome keeps the LED hidden, and the photosensitive detection tube is used to detect the state of the RPI-1031.
  • When the RPI-1031 is rotated to the position shown below, the LED is covered by the dome and both photosensitive tubes cannot receive light, they are in the off state and both GPIO ports output a low level.
  • When the RPI-1031 is rotated to the position shown below, one of the photosensitive tubes is covered and the light emitted by the LED can only be received by the other, meaning that the upper photosensitive tube is active and the lower is inactive, thus the two GPIO ports output a high level and a low level, respectively.
  • When the RPI-1031 is rotated to the position shown below, the dome is uncovered, the LED will light up, both photosensitive tubes can receive the light, and all of them will be active, with both GPIO ports outputting a high level.
  • When the RPI-1031 is rotated to the position shown below, this state is opposite to description 4, the two GPIO ports will change their output levels.
