Very good! Without this, I wouldn't be able to transfer the pizza to the oven's baking tray. I make the pizza on top of it after sprinkling a little semolina so it doesn't stick

The wood is not of good quality, also the metallic ones are better, especially those with holes. It requires a significant amount of flour to prevent the pizza from sticking, while at the same time, if there is even a little more flour left on top than necessary, it remains on the bottom of the pizza and burns, giving it a bitter taste. Check the opinion of professionals pizzaiolo like Vito Iacopelli. One solution is to use a mixture of fine semolina and flour to reduce this phenomenon, but whoever hasn't bought yet, it's better to spend a little extra for a metallic one and save the trouble.

  • it's fine. but you need to know how to use it. it's not for making the pizza on top, nor for getting it wet. it's for quickly transferring your floured/semolina-dusted Neapolitan pizza from your counter to your baking stone.

  • it does exactly what I bought it for. I always use parchment paper under my pizza so I have no problem with the dough sticking to the pizza peel.

  • Waste of money. Regret not returning it. Its surface is rough like sandpaper! The pizza doesn't slide at all when you try to put it in the oven!!! Unless you put it together with the spatula.... Useless thing.

  • Very good for its price, it does its job perfectly. I use cornmeal so that it doesn't stick, just like most pizzerias

  • 4 stars because I believe that for 20 euros it should have better quality wood. Clearly, you pay for practicality here rather than quality, and it definitely does its job well because it is thin and large, easily accommodating a large pizza on top. It fits easily in the oven, the pizza slides easily on the surface with a little semolina, and finally, it easily lifts the pizza off the surface due to its thinness and angle. The negative aspect is that if you clean it with a damp cloth, wood fibers start to come off. Perhaps it would be better if it was coated with eco-friendly varnish to make it last longer, but I don't know how easily the pizza would slide on the surface afterwards. I have had it for 2 months and if I were to buy this specific one again, it would depend on whether it lasts me at least a year.
