Gum Sandarac
Authentic natural resin gum Sandarac sourced from Morocco. A non-water-soluble natural resin used in icon painting and painting for making varnish.

There are many recipes for making varnish throughout the centuries. The most famous varnish made with gum sandarac is Vernice Liquida, which is considered one of the best varnishes for painting works.
The usual recipe for Vernice Liquida is 2 or 3 parts linseed oil to 1 part gum sandarac.
