Deep Rock Galactic for PS5 is a co-op first-person shooter for 1–4 players, featuring space dwarves who explore caves and battle hordes of aliens. The caves are procedurally generated, and the environment is fully destructible, allowing players to shape their route to each mission objective.

Players can choose from four roles: the Gunner eliminates enemies, the Scout leads the way and lights up the caves, the Driller tunnels through solid rock, and the Engineer supports the team with defensive structures and turrets. Equipment includes flamethrowers, Gatling guns and portable platform launchers, while lighting is essential for exploring the dark caves. The planet Hoxxes IV is rich in valuable minerals, but its creatures and flora are extremely hostile.
