The thermometer is fine. Surely everyone who comments negatively takes it out in a minute and a half as advertised. However, part of the instructions states that "for more accurate measurement from the armpit, you should increase the measurement time to 5 minutes."
I have two different thermometers that are "criticized" for incorrect measurements, while they simply do not have the patience to wait for the 5 minutes. Both of them always show just fine to me.
The need that I personally want it to cover for me is not to have the fear of breaking the mercury and even if it loses 0.1 degrees in some measurement and even if I wait five minutes.
If someone's need is to have an accurate measurement in a minute and a half and does not want to wait, it is better to look for something else as this specific product cannot provide it. However, the measurement is correct in five minutes.
Το θερμομετρο ειναι μια χαρα. Σιγουρα ολοι που σχολιαζουν αρνητικα το βγαζουν στο 1μιση λεπτο οπως διαφημιζεται. Ομως τμημα των οδηγιων αναφερει πως "στη μετρηση απο τη μασχαλη, για ακριβεστερη μετρηση πρεπει να αυξησετε το χρονο μετρησης σε 5 λεπτα".
Εχω δυο διαφορετικα θερμομετρα που τα "κραζουν" για λαθος μετρησεις, ενω απλα δεν εχουν την υπομονη να περιμενουν το 5λεπτο. Εμενα και τα 2 παντα δειχνουν μια χαρα.
Η αναγκη που θελω προσωπικα να μου καλυψει, ειναι να μην εχω το φοβο να σπασει το υδραργυρικο και ας χανει 0.1 βαθμο καποια μετρηση και ας περιμενω πεντε λεπτα.
Αν η αναγκη καποιου ειναι να βγαζει ακριβη μετρηση σε 1μιση λεπτο και δε θελει να περιμενει, καλυτερα να ψαξει κατι αλλο καθως δε μπορει να του το δωσει το συγκεκριμενο προιον. Παντως σε πεντε λεπτα η μετρηση ειναι σωστη.
A short story about this thermometer, my relative gave it to me opened so I don't know if it had any leaflet that specifies how it works. The pharmacy from which it was purchased told us to leave it longer after it beeps because it continues to rise, another pharmacy that sells the same thermometer said that this doesn't make sense and obviously it will keep rising as long as it stays because it probably doesn't know anything about thermodynamics.
So empirically, first make sure you have reached the deepest point of the armpit because obviously it has low sensitivity and you may have a large deviation. From the indication it will show when it beeps and afterwards you may have a deviation of up to one degree, keep it and monitor the temperature, when it starts to stabilize, like staying at the same temperature for a minute or more, you know you are somewhere there.
I won't say it doesn't work, but I will say that this is literally the agony of the parent who anxiously beats their heart to see how much fever their child has in order to know what to do, 5 minutes with the thermometer in hand and irregularities, unacceptable for me.

Λοιπόν εμπειρικά, αρχικά βεβαιωθείτε ότι έχετε πιάσει το πιο βαθύ σημείο της μασχάλης γιατί προφανώς έχει μικρή ευαισθησία και μπορεί να έχετε μεγάλη απόκλιση. Από την ένδειξη που θα δείξει όταν χτυπήσει και μετά μπορεί να έχετε απόκλιση έως και ένα βαθμό, κρατήστε το και παρακολουθείστε τη θερμοκρασία, όταν αρχίσει να σταθεροποιείται, τύπου μείνει για ένα λεπτό και παραπάνω στην ίδια θερμοκρασία ξέρετε ότι είστε κάπου εκεί.
Δε θα πω ότι δε δουλεύει, θα πω όμως ότι αυτό είναι κυριολεκτικά το μαρτύριο της σταγόνας για το γονέα που καρδιοχτυπά από αγωνία πόσο πυρετό έχει το παιδί του για να δει τι πρέπει να κάνει, 5 λεπτά με το θερμόμετρο στο χέρι και αρρυθμίες, για μένα απαράδεκτο.

Λοιπόν, εγώ αυτό το θερμόμετρο το αγόρασα από ένα φαρμακείο στη γειτονιά μου και δεν μου είπε ποτέ κανείς ότι συνεχίζει να μετράει τη θερμοκρασία και μετά από αυτό το θόρυβο που κάνει. Κάθε φορά που μετρούσα τη θερμοκρασία έβγαζε 35°C και λέω δε γίνεται, μάλλον κάτι κάνω λάθος. Θέλω να καταλήξω στο ότι καλό είναι ό,τι παίρνουμε να κοιτάζουμε τις οδηγίες, ειδικά όταν πρόκειται για ιατροφαρμακευτικό εξοπλισμό
