    It's not that it doesn't do the job. It normally softens the beard and doesn't smell bad, actually smells good. It's just that compared to the same company's oil, I would definitely go for the oil and not the cream. The oil does the same job of moisturizing and softening, it just smells amazing and lasts longer (the packaging, not the duration of one use) because with the cream you have to use a little more. Anyway, as a product, it does the job it was made for very well.
