In Barcelona, you will take on the role of builders in 19th-century Barcelona, constructing buildings to house the citizens who wish to leave the old city. You will build roads, create tram lines, and develop public services. You can explore "Modernisme," a new architectural and artistic style that is gaining popularity.

The game is played over a variable number of rounds with three scoring phases before the final scoring. Each round, players perform a series of actions, including a building phase and preparation for the next round. In the end, the player with the most points wins.
