An excellent quality substrate for all Ferns, without any peat or soil. Promotes healthy root growth and contains organic fertilizer and beneficial microbial organisms.

Composition:

• Coco coir
• Activated carbon
• Worm castings
• Perlite
• DCM organic nutrients
• Horticultural sand

This mix retains very well the necessary moisture that Ferns need, thanks to the extra coco coir and worm castings, while simultaneously ensuring proper drainage. The sand it contains helps the mixture drain even better and gives an ideal texture to the soil that supports the fine roots that Ferns have.

Ferns have a fine and delicate root system and are "picky" about their watering. They prefer soil rich in nutrients and with very good drainage, which uniformly provides water throughout their root system.

How to Use:

• Remove as much of the old soil as possible.
• Gently squeeze the pot sideways to loosen the plant.
• Pass the roots under tap water to remove the last bits of soil.
• Remove any dead foliage that may still be on the plant using scissors.
• Add a small layer of soil to the bottom of the pot.
• Place the plant in the pot and add the soil mix to the sides to fill.
• Ensure that the point where the roots meet the plant is below the substrate.
• Lightly tap the mix inside the pot.
• Water well after transplanting.
