Francodex treats for guinea pigs contain vitamin C and can be used as a primary source or alongside another source, such as a drink, fresh plants or tablets. Each treat contains 10 mg of vitamin C, and the daily amount depends on the animal’s condition.
For a 1 kg guinea pig, 3 treats per day are recommended for preventive use, or 6 during recovery, pregnancy and lactation. Administration can begin after weaning, from 10 weeks of age. This food does not replace a balanced diet; fresh water should always be available. When other vitamin C supplements are given, the recommended daily amounts must be observed.
