The Crooked Paths is a multifaceted theatrical play. Multifaceted in the sense that the leading role is played by a woman who roams through significant female roles of the international theatrical repertoire (Euripides, Shakespeare, Ibsen, Strindberg, Williams) assisted on stage by a fictitious “director” who accompanies her at her direction.
Strangely, there emerges almost an identification with today’s reality, prompting the audience to think about issues and situations that concern us.
The Tree is a strange story that unfolds over the course of a day. Dream and reality face each other. The “elsewhere” plays the game of “here” and the “once” the game of “now.” A bit of Beckett, a bit of Ionesco. A bit of The Lesson, a bit of Happy Days.
Two middle-aged men in the middle of nowhere, a tree, a watering can, and an endless parade of people who seem either relevant or irrelevant. Until night falls.
