I waited to try it for at least a month so I could write as realistic a review as possible. Initially, I bought it on sale for 290€. My use is mainly professional, MS Office/Browsing, coding, and in my free time a bit of gaming. I have played various games and work at the same time so I will tell you the positives and negatives I have noticed.

Positives:
- Very good text clarity for everyday use
- Comfortable screen for the eyes since it has an IPS panel and the contrast is not high
- 180Hz refresh rate, everything is very smooth, whether you are playing games or doing anything else
- Certified HDR 600, so it's not just on paper like many other monitors. There is a big difference when switching between HDR and SDR in games for the better. We will discuss this below in the negatives, as there are weaknesses.
- Very good viewing angles
- G-Sync for those with Nvidia GPUs
- USB ports, I have put the dongles for wireless peripherals there

Negatives:
- So, the only negative worth mentioning is the HDR performance. No matter how impressive the colors are, because the dimming zones are very few, when scenes in games are very dark, things get difficult because you see white spots on the blacks (see the photo). When you play in scenes that are during the day, you don't notice this. Let's be honest, IPS monitors are not intended for HDR because HDR takes advantage of high contrast and IPS monitors have little.

Personal conclusion:
- For 300€ and under, the monitor has no competition in the IPS panel category. If you are mainly interested in working, surfing the internet, etc., get it with your eyes closed. But if your main activity is gaming and you care about HDR, I suggest you go for a VA panel and especially something that has mini-LED technology. If money is not an important factor for you, then get an OLED panel for true HDR & true blacks.

I got the monitor at a very good price of €290 five months ago, however, even with the current prices at €400, it is still VFM.

Firstly, I want to point out to the more advanced users that on this particular monitor, ghosting has been greatly improved to the point that at least I can't detect it.

Now, for all users:

The menu is neither easy nor difficult, it just requires a bit of time.

The monitor truly has a 1MS response time, not like other cheaper ones that are not a true 1MS and just fool people.

The monitor is 165Hz, it can go up to 180Hz with overclocking, which I do not recommend because it sacrifices other aspects of its performance and you don't need more than 165Hz anyway.

Its HDR works very well and believe me, for those who don't know, HDR is a feature that most monitors can't handle properly. You don't need to enable HDR in Windows, just on the monitor and you're ready. Of course, if you enable Windows HDR and set SDR to 100%, you'll get even better results, and if your monitor doesn't come with the latest update, do it.

As for its colors, they are perfect out of the box from Dell, but if you know how to calibrate, you will get even better results.

It has EXCELLENT viewing angles and that's naturally because it's IPS, BUT a very good IPS. If you're wondering if it's worth the money and are looking at a lower-tier company with the same SPECS but cheaper, all I will say is that it's not a coincidence that it's more expensive, and no, you're not paying for the name here, but for quality assurance and VFM, perhaps one of the clearest 2K resolutions.

The only thing I'll say is about the bezels: in the photo on Skroutz they look almost non-existent, if that impresses you, they're not as thin as they look but of course not big either.

The monitor was purchased in August 2025 for €265. The monitor is excellent for its price, and if you are looking for something value for money and quality, it is a very good choice because Dell stands behind it.

Positives:
~Monitor: 2k monitor that does not tire your eyes no matter how much brightness and contrast you set. You can sit for hours without a headache.
~HDR: I only have it on when playing on PS5, it looks very good to my eyes. Otherwise, on the PC I keep HDR off and use SDR.
~Hz: The default 165hz is already very satisfactory for all kinds of games. There is an overclock option to 180hz, which I use because I play a lot of fps/fast paced games. Coming from 1080p 144hz, I can say I saw a big improvement for the better at 180hz.
~Response Time: 1ms GtG is stated. It has 3 options: 1) fast, 2) very fast, 3) extreme. I play on 2) very fast. On extreme, you start to see a little ghosting. Even with the other options, the ms remains low without any problem.
~Viewing Angles: It’s an IPS monitor, it has very good viewing angles from any side you look at it.
~Menu: The monitor’s menu with its options is user-friendly and easy.

Negatives:
~In dark rooms, especially at night, the monitor reflects almost like a mirror, which means if you have RGB peripherals in front of you at that time, you will probably see them reflected. It doesn’t bother me because I don’t always look there, especially when playing.
~Speakers: Unfortunately, for those who don’t have speakers on their system, they might miss them a bit because the monitor does not have built-in speakers.

Conclusion: For me, the monitor, being entry level for a price under €300, I think it’s worth it. Are there better options? Certainly yes, but the budget also goes up.

I have had this monitor for about 6 months. I bought it because I needed a monitor that I could connect my Xbox Series S to, and for my computer, as I work on it (with videos, graphics, etc.) and I wanted something quite high quality in colors. Let's look at the positives and negatives.
Positives
1) IPS panel. What could be better for the eyes?? I really spend over 10 hours in front of the screen and it doesn't tire me at all!
2) It comes with its cables! for display port to display port, type c to display port, and power supply..
3) It has a USB hub under the monitor where you can plug in a mouse/keyboard and generally anything you want.
4) I have been impressed by its colors in games, on the Xbox and generally with the colors in movies, etc.
5) Dell's Command Center is very user-friendly!!
6) The RGB on the back is very beautiful!!
7) Viewing angles… you can see from any side you want and see exactly what it shows… it's the IPS panel, you see..

Now let's talk about its negatives.
Negatives
1) I have a complaint… I got it for €450… why don't you include a remote control??? The navigation from the bottom is a bit annoying

Starting off, I should mention that I have owned this particular monitor for a week.

I bought the monitor for gaming but also for everyday use and to pair it with a Dell S2722QC IPS 4K (for which I have already shared my review). Due to budget constraints and the fact that I wouldn't be using it exclusively for gaming, I didn't choose to go for OLED or mini-LED. In terms of performance, it's a given that all OLED panels are much better, but depending on the model and their features, they are much more expensive and also carry the risk of burn-in, despite the fact that panel implementations improve year by year, gradually reducing the problem.

More specifically about the monitor itself. The build quality is very good (as with most Dell monitors), and its stand allows for all kinds of adjustments such as rotation, tilt, and height management. It has two illuminated logos on the back and around the power on/off button. As for ports, it has 2 x DisplayPort v1.4, 1 x HDMI v2.1 (which is v2.1 but only for VRR, it should actually be called v2.0 based on the bandwidth it can handle), 1 x USB Type-B 3.2 GEN 1 (upstream) to function as a HUB for the 2 x USB Type-A 3.2 GEN 1 (downstream), and it does NOT have any audio output. Therefore, you cannot connect any audio device to the monitor. Finally, the package includes a 2M DisplayPort v1.4, a 1M USB-C to DisplayPort, and a 2M USB Type-B cable.

In terms of size and resolution, the 27'' inches along with 1440p (QHD) are ideal. If you want a larger monitor for close-up use, in my opinion, it's better to go for an Ultra-Wide or 4K, so there are more pixels and what you see is sharper without "pixelation" in the details.

Regarding Hz and response time, the 165Hz with 1ms do their job very well and you can notice the difference in gaming. Additionally, for gaming, it has the option for automatic overclocking if you choose, which goes up to 180Hz. It also fully supports NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.

The colors out of the box are fine, but with calibration, you will get the ideal results for your panel. However, it's not necessary here.
At the same time, the HDR (HDR10 – DisplayHDR 600), although not at the level of HDR10+ or Dolby Vision and doesn't reach the implementations of OLED panels (e.g., QD-OLED, WOLED), is very respectable and makes a difference (e.g., in my case where the S2722QC has simple HDR400, the difference in brightness, vibrancy, and color range is obvious and you enjoy it pleasantly).
However, in Windows, to get this result, you need to go to "Display Settings - Brightness and color - Use HDR" and within this, also set the SDR content Brightness to 100%. Initially, it's at 40%. The problem that arises when you enable HDR from the monitor's settings is that the brightness is very low, and the colors are not vibrant. This happens because when there is no white background, the displayed content is adjusted based on SDR (Standard Dynamic Range), which is not what we want. You will need to do this for any monitor with HDR that allows you to manage it. Note that by enabling HDR Mode, any ICC Profile you have is disabled.

However, it is preferable to use HDR in movies and games, but for simple use, turn it off, as you will notice color distortions in videos (YouTube, Twitch) with people (faces become excessively red) if the content is not HDR and is SDR. This is a quirk of Windows that happens on every screen; in my case, I have tested it on the LG C2 from 2022 (HDR10) which cost €1500 and has the same result. This should not discourage you whether you choose this monitor or any other, regardless of panel technology (IPS, OLED, etc.). I have not found a way for Windows to Auto Enable-Disable HDR only when there is corresponding content, nor have I seen any relevant update. If I manage to find something, I will return with an update.

In conclusion, the implementation of this monitor is very good and does what it promises. It is the "entry-level" of the Alienware series, but what it offers is worthwhile. If someone needs a monitor for all-around use such as work, gaming, and content watching, it will definitely reward them. Finally, regarding the financial aspect, it is not overpriced and is worth the money it asks for. Since it is very new, there hasn't been a price drop yet (at launch there was a discount due to pre-order).
I am absolutely satisfied and recommend it unreservedly.

Update 2 (10/11/2023): The issue with color distortion on YouTube and Twitch in browsers when the content is not HDR and is SDR (as in almost all cases) seems to have been fixed. Perhaps a Windows update included a fix. I haven't tested it on the LG C2 to confirm. However, I am now running at 180Hz with HDR permanently enabled on the monitor, Output Color Format YCbCr444, and Output Color Depth 10 bcp. Also, I have calibrated using the “Windows HDR Calibration” app from the Microsoft Store and everything seems to be working smoothly.
