I bought 6 pieces of this GloboStar 81116 to install them in the high rear STOP lights. I already had LED lights inside, but white ones. However, according to this very good test here, https://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/blog/red-or-white-led-bulb-behind-a-red-lens/, which I highly recommend you to read, we MUST use red bulbs behind our red lights for maximum performance and brightness. The white ones will work too, but the red produced is not the same in shade and brightness to the human eye. Watch the test with the video and you will understand.

I am returning them because I was unlucky, they don't fit at all in the W5W T10 sockets of my light, they have a group of resistors if you notice, at the bottom between the two perforated poles, with the number 222 222 222. These cause a bulge when you try to connect them, resulting in the socket not accepting them, even though they are the correct W5W T10. I applied force, tried in different ways without causing any damage, but nothing worked. Let's go for a replacement.

However, I have to say that I connected one of the six I bought to a 12V Lead battery and their brightness is AMAZING! They are at 400 Lumens and produce an extremely bright red light that is definitely suitable for use in centrally positioned STOP brakes. It's a shame I will return them due to the difficulty with my socket (Ford Focus MK1 2004) because they are simply amazing in performance!! They are also very small and you can't believe that such a small thing produces such a powerful red light! It's worth it, but BE CAREFUL with your socket to make sure it accepts it so you don't experience what I did...

I have already found their replacement, which doesn't have resistors at the bottom of the poles, it's also from GloboStar.

I hope to be luckier with them.

I highly recommend the GloboStar 81116 bulb, it also comes at an amazing price, but be very careful to have a wide enough socket to accommodate it along with the bulge of its resistors!
