The ACES Ηn electronic anode replaces the magnesium anode in metal boilers and water storage tanks with a capacity of 3,000–5,000 litres. It functions as an active cathodic protection system, supplying an electric current to protect the boiler walls from corrosion. The current is adjusted according to potential measurements, allowing it to work with both hard and soft water.

The two titanium probes are corrosion-resistant and require no maintenance, replacement or repair. The anode operates at low voltage and current and consumes 10–20 kWh per year. It does not create residue in the tank.
