My decision to engage with the Revolution and the two coups is not arbitrary. It stems from the effort made, both during the course of the Revolution and primarily after the restoration, by foreign and local actors to diminish its contribution, to defame individuals, and to tarnish consciences.
In the last decade, several fellow revolutionaries, journalists, writers, and others have written about the Revolution, some to highlight their leadership role, others to emphasize their crucial role both in their participation in it and in governing the country, others to show that they were knowledgeable about everything, and a few (the very few) to share their personal experiences as a source of historical data for future historians.
This work does not aim to replace any of the previously published works by any author, including dissenters, nor to respond to any of them, despite the obvious distortion they attempted. On the contrary, it aims to present facts, truths, and opinions as I experienced them or to the extent that I can know them.
The reader, first of all, and the future historian, second, will make the necessary comparisons between the various works, and they will decide on the accuracy and the degree of objectivity of what is recorded herein.
