The Clouds Root tray is designed by Wang Shu (Amateur Architecture Studio) and is part of the Alessi collection "(Un) Forbidden City". It is the result of a collaboration between Chinese and Western design philosophies and serves as a unique decorative element for your space.
The design of the Clouds Root tray is inspired by the stones in the Garden of Academics, which resemble clouds representing the complexity of the relationship between man and woman. Clouds Root is a system of two serving trays, one large and one small, representing the male and female respectively.
They meet randomly at a point, leaving space between them. The material used is polished stainless steel while the irregular shape is visually balanced by the straight edges and the use of solid steel, with a firm, rigid outline.
Chinese academics compare human emotions to the movement of clouds. Wang Shu, the winner of the Pritzker Architecture Prize, designed this set to express the love between a man and a woman. "They meet randomly and come closer, leaving a gap between them," he says.
A wonderful decorative element for your dining room and living room.
