How to determine if we need a left or right lock:

• Determine the direction of the door to know if the lock we need is left or right, you should be standing outside the door.
• From the outside of the house, observe if the hinges are on the left or right as you look at the door, that will correspond to the direction of the door and consequently the lock.
• If, for example, you see the hinges on the right when looking at the door from outside, then the door has a right-handed direction and the lock we need is a right one.
• Another simple way to confirm the direction of the door and the lock is to check which hand we use to open the door again from the outside of the house.
• If, for example, we open the door with the right hand, then the direction of the door is right, so the lock we need is likewise.
