In early 1992, a group of Scotch whisky experts convened at Riedel's headquarters in Austria to taste a series of nineteen different glass shapes.

The design features a small, slightly sloped rim that directs the drink to the tip of the tongue, where sweetness is perceived, and serves to highlight the elegant softness of the top-quality single malt whisky.
