Description & Specifications

Sika Sikagard®-140 Pool is a one-component, water-based acrylic coating for protecting and decorating swimming pools, tanks, fountains and other concrete structures. It withstands continuous contact with water, commonly used pool treatment chemicals, ultraviolet radiation and weather conditions. Apply to suitably prepared surfaces with a brush, roller or airless spray gun.

Two coats are required on new surfaces. The pool can be filled with water after approximately 5–7 days at 23°C.

  • Type: One-component, water-based acrylic coating
  • Use: Protection and decoration of swimming pools, water tanks, fountains and concrete structures
  • Suitable surfaces: Concrete, cement mortar, cementitious substrates and mineral surfaces
  • Resistance: Continuous contact with water, commonly used pool chemicals, ultraviolet radiation and weather conditions
  • Colours: White, adriatic blue, blue 32, green 21, sea green, black
  • Coverage: Approximately 0.15–0.20 L/m² per coat
  • Coats: 2 on new surfaces
  • Finish: Satin
  • Application method: Brush, roller or airless spray gun
  • Dilution: Up to 10% with clean water
  • Tool cleaning: With water immediately after use
  • Touch dry: Approximately 1–2 hours at 23°C
  • Recoating: Approximately 6–12 hours
  • Filling with water: After approximately 5–7 days at 23°C
  • Capacity: 10 L
