The K&N E-0642 closed-type high-flow air filter is reusable and made from multilayer, oil-impregnated cotton material. Its construction features four layers of cotton bonded with a special adhesive to trap dust, dirt and contaminants, while its design aims to improve airflow and acceleration.

The filter comes pre-oiled and is designed as a direct replacement for the factory air filter. Under normal highway driving conditions, it should be cleaned every 75,000 km or every 5 years.
