With nearly 50 years of experience in the whisky industry, Billy Walker, who acquired the GlenAllachie distillery in 2017, decided to enrich the distillery's range of single malts with a series of blended malts. These expertly marry whisky from the island of Islay with whisky from the wider Speyside area. Thus, the Macnair's series was born, perfectly balancing the smoke and peat of Islay with the sweet elements of Speyside.
The palette of complex aromatic elements is due to the maturation that the distillate undergoes, which takes place in both oloroso sherry casks, virgin oak barrels, and red wine barrels.
Rich nose:
- Red berries
- Smoky oak
- dried fruits

- Cinnamon
On the palate, the milk chocolate is very pronounced, with a combination of sweet paprika and salted peanuts. The finish is long and smoky.
