The second volume of the "European Piano Method" focuses on expanding technical and musical training. The course begins with the topic of 'Phrasing and Rhythm'. It is followed by a series of pieces systematically organized to provide practice in various keys (3 sharps to 3 flats) and thus improve reading skills and increase familiarity with the keyboard. Along with major and minor scales, corresponding cadences are introduced, which can vary in many different stylistic approaches. At the same time, there are practice materials for performing scales and developing 'Speed and Balanced Playing'. In this way, students gradually reach a technical level that allows for 'artistic' work on expression and musical interpretation. This development of musicality begins with the use of the pedal and an introduction to cantabile, which will be further expanded in volume 3.
