SLATEFIBER CONE – DETAILED SOUND
Exclusive to Focal and made in France, the Slatefiber cone is made from recycled carbon fibers applied as a filling that is placed between two layers of thermoplastic polymer. In their quest for perfection, our engineers have chosen to use non-woven carbon fibers, which are all oriented in the same direction to achieve greater rigidity, better damping, and lightness – the "essentials" of an excellent speaker. Known for reproducing rich, dynamic, and balanced sound, this exclusive cone features in many Focal products across the home, studio, and car audio ranges.
THE TNF TWEETER – EXCEPTIONAL HIGHS
Made by Focal in France, the Aluminium/Magnesium TNF tweeter with an inverted dome offers clear and sweet highs. The surround that connects the dome to its base uses a memory foam material called Poron. This surround is directly derived from the famous Beryllium tweeter of the Utopia and reduces distortion by one-third between 2000Hz and 3000Hz, the high-sensitivity range of the ear. This Focal tweeter guarantees an impressively stable soundstage.
