SLATEFIBER CONE – DETAILED SOUND
Exclusive to Focal and made in France, the concave Slatefiber cone is made from recycled carbon fibers, applied as a filler between two layers of thermoplastic polymer. In their quest for perfection, our engineers have chosen to use non-woven carbon fibers, all oriented in the same direction for increased rigidity, better damping, and lightness - the "essentials" of an excellent speaker.
Renowned for reproducing rich, dynamic, and balanced sound, this exclusive cone appears in many Focal products in the home, studio, and car series.
THE TNF TWEETER – EXCEPTIONAL TREBLE
Made by Focal in France, the aluminum/magnesium TNF tweeter with inverted dome offers clear and smooth treble. The surround that connects the dome to its base uses a memory material called Poron. This surround is directly derived from the famous Utopia beryllium tweeter and reduces distortion by a third between 2000Hz and 3000Hz, the area of high sensitivity of the ear. This Focal tweeter guarantees an impressively stable soundstage.
