Description:

The Benchmade Proper 318 is the first slipjoint made by Benchmade. You open this type of knife with two hands and it does not lock: it has a pivot. Ideal as a sleek knife that you can use to peel an apple or cut a nice piece of steak. The blade has a classic style and the contours bear no resemblance to the rest of the modern Benchmade lineup. The clippoint blade may remind you of the classic traditional Barlow styles. Benchmade has chosen CPM-S30V steel, a modern powdered steel specially designed for high-quality pocket knives. In the slipjoint category, you won't find many pocket knives with such great steel. Additionally, Benchmade has improved the Proper with a stop pin that prevents the spring from closing. The handle is made from micarta canvas, providing excellent grip and resistance to wear. The micarta develops a patina with use.
