The video game from the small independent development team Toukana Interactive has excited the gaming community since its Early Access period in March 2021 and has already won many significant awards. Now, Michael Palm and Lukas Zach bring the beloved strategy and puzzle game into the world of board games, creating Dorfromantik: The Board Game, a family game for both young and old.
In Dorfromantik: The Board Game, up to six players cooperate to place hexagonal tiles and create a beautiful landscape, trying to satisfy the requests of the inhabitants. At the same time, they aim to form the longest railroad and the largest river, also taking into account the flags that award points in enclosed areas. The better the players perform, the more points they accumulate at the end of the game.
During the replayable campaign, the points earned can be used to unlock new tiles, which are hidden inside initially locked boxes. These introduce new, additional challenges for the players and allow them to continuously improve their high score.
