Their focal distance is usually 24-35mm for full-frame, 15-25mm for crop frame, and 50-70mm for medium format. They are commonly used in street photography but also in indoor spaces where there is limited distance from the subject. The perspective of wide-angle lenses makes things appear farther apart than they actually are.

  • Mount

    The type of mount that the camera body must have in order for the lens to be fully functional when attached to it.

This Special Edition version of the Z 40mm f/2 lens features a retro design with curves on the lens body, a contrasting silver ring, and a vintage NIKKOR logo that mimics the appearance of lenses used on classic Nikon FM cameras.

  • Designed for Nikon Z-mount FX-format mirrorless cameras and can also be used with DX-format models, providing an equivalent focal length of 60mm.
