When the soil is sufficiently moist, the automatic irrigation system does not activate or interrupts irrigation if it is in progress, allowing you to save water while enjoying beautiful and healthy plants. With automatic irrigation controller rain sensors, we avoid unnecessary water waste by stopping watering when it rains. The rain sensor connects to power or battery controllers (the controller's specifications should be checked to see if it accepts a rain sensor). When the internal flow reaches a level of 5 mm of rain per square meter (in most sensors, we can adjust the flow level), the system shuts off. Scheduled watering resumes automatically when the water in the rain sensor evaporates. The rain sensor should be installed outdoors exposed to rain using the provided stainless steel bracket.
The Valticino ZR-RS rain sensor connects to any irrigation controller operating with 24 VAC & 9 Volt DC applications and suspends automatic watering operation in case of rain. Its design makes the process extremely simple and quick. It is placed approximately 7 meters away from the controller, connected by cable to a point exposed to rain.
