The Erlikon Belinox electrode is rutile-coated, highly alloyed and has a very low carbon content. It is intended for welding stabilized or non-stabilized 18 Cr/8 Ni chromium-nickel steels resistant to atmospheric corrosion, as well as low-carbon chromium-nickel steels. It resists intergranular corrosion at temperatures up to 350 °C.

It provides a smooth weld, good striking and restriking, fine ripples and smooth joints. The slag is easy to remove. Suitable for flat, vertical-up and overhead welding.
