In order for children to ensure a healthy social life based on effective relationships, they need to develop empathy, the ability to put themselves in someone else’s shoes, to understand and feel things in the same way another person experiences them. This need is addressed by the books in this series, which promote emotional intelligence. With the suggested approach for parents and educators, they aim to initiate children into seeing the world through another’s eyes, after first learning to recognize and manage their own emotions.

Yolanda Tsoroni-Georgiadi holds degrees from the Law School, the Pedagogical Academy, and the Department of Education of the University of Athens, and has completed postgraduate studies at the Marasleio Teachers' Training School. She worked for many years in public education, writes articles for educational magazines, participates voluntarily in organizations promoting literature, is an active member of the Women's Literary Society, and has published many children's books and folklore studies. She has been included in the Register of Trainers for the program "Innovative Actions to Promote Students' Love of Reading" and has undertaken training work at seminars for Primary Education teachers.
