I bought it a month ago. At first, it really smelled like burning plastic, but I imagine the reason was that the device is new and is being used for the first time in "heating" mode. That's why I ran it without toast in a test mode 3 times, cleaning the plates with water each time, and the smell went away (which was indeed strong for some reason). As for the toasting: if I didn't secure the handle a few times, the cheese in the toast wouldn't melt, but when I secured the front clasp of the handle, the toast was toasted normally (although I don't prefer it squished). The non-stick plates are of mediocre quality... during one toasting, a little cheese leaked without me noticing, and I put a second toast on to toast, resulting in the toast opening in half at the end of the toasting as the bread stuck to the plate. Other than that, nice exterior appearance and bright lights.
UPDATE 27.03.25: Unfortunately, I have to change my rating. The plates of the toaster are the worst I have encountered so far. After about 2 months of use, they are ready for the trash... the coating (supposedly ceramic) is of terrible quality, it started coming off from the first weeks little by little, now it has come off in many places and has also yellowed... 1 star is too much. FAR AWAY

Γιαυτό την έβαλα χωρίς τοστ σε δοκιμαστική λειτουργία 3 φορές καθαρίζοντας με νερό τις πλάκες κάθε φορά κι έτσι έφυγε η μυρωδιά (η οποία ήταν όντως έντονη για κάποιο λόγο). Όσον αφορά το ψήσιμο: αν δεν ασφάλιζα τη λαβή μερικές φορές το τυρί του τοστ δεν έλιωνε, όταν όμως ασφάλιζα το μπροστινό κούμπωμα της λαβής το τοστ ψηνόταν κανονικά (αν και δε το προτιμώ πατικωμένο). Οι αντικολλητικές πλάκες μέτριας ποιότητας... σε κάποιο ψήσιμο έτρεξε πολύ λίγο τυρί χωρίς να το προσέξω και έβαλα πάνω και 2ο τόστ να ψήσω, με αποτέλεσμα το τοστ στο τέλος του ψησίματος να ανοίξει στα δύο καθώς το ψωμί κόλλησε πάνω στη πλάκα. Κατα τ' αλλα ωραία εξωτερική εμφάνιση και φωτεινές λυχνίες.
UPDATE 27.03.25 : Δυστυχώς πρέπει να αλλάξω την αξιολόγηση μου. Οι πλάκες της τοστιέρας είναι ότι χειρότερο έχω συναντήσει μέχρι στιγμής. A very good purchase for its price and intended use. It fits two regular-sized sandwiches (just barely, but it fits them perfectly), it toasts quickly and evenly, and it doesn't flatten the sandwiches, which remain crispy. What else can one ask for at this price, as long as it withstands the test of time. I do use it lightly, making 1-2 sandwiches 5 times a week. It is definitely worth its money.

Όσον αφορά το ψήσιμο: αν δεν ασφάλιζα τη λαβή μερικές φορές το τυρί του τοστ δεν έλιωνε, όταν όμως ασφάλιζα το μπροστινό κούμπωμα της λαβής το τοστ ψηνόταν κανονικά (αν και δε το προτιμώ πατικωμένο). Οι αντικολλητικές πλάκες μέτριας ποιότητας... σε κάποιο ψήσιμο έτρεξε πολύ λίγο τυρί χωρίς να το προσέξω και έβαλα πάνω και 2ο τόστ να ψήσω, με αποτέλεσμα το τοστ στο τέλος του ψησίματος να ανοίξει στα δύο καθώς το ψωμί κόλλησε πάνω στη πλάκα. Κατα τ' αλλα ωραία εξωτερική εμφάνιση και φωτεινές λυχνίες.
UPDATE 27.03.25 : Δυστυχώς πρέπει να αλλάξω την αξιολόγηση μου. Οι πλάκες της τοστιέρας είναι ότι χειρότερο έχω συναντήσει μέχρι στιγμής. Σε περίπου 2 μήνες χρήσης είναι για πέταμα... η επίστρωση (και καλά κεραμική) είναι αθλιας ποιότητας, ξεκίνησε να φεύγει απο τις πρώτες βδομάδες λιγο λιγο, τώρα έχει φύγει σε πολλά μέρη κι έχει επίσης κιτρινίσει... 1 αστέρι και πολύ είναι ΜΑΚΡΙΑ

A very good purchase for its price and intended use. It fits two regular-sized sandwiches (just barely, but it fits them perfectly), it toasts quickly and evenly, and it doesn't flatten the sandwiches, which remain crispy. What else can one ask for at this price, as long as it withstands the test of time. I do use it lightly, making 1-2 sandwiches 5 times a week. It is definitely worth its money.

I bought it a month ago. At first, it really smelled like burning plastic, but I imagine the reason was that the device is new and is being used for the first time in "heating" mode. That's why I ran it without toast in a test mode 3 times, cleaning the plates with water each time, and the smell went away (which was indeed strong for some reason). As for the toasting: if I didn't secure the handle a few times, the cheese in the toast wouldn't melt, but when I secured the front clasp of the handle, the toast was toasted normally (although I don't prefer it squished). The non-stick plates are of mediocre quality... during one toasting, a little cheese leaked without me noticing, and I put a second toast on to toast, resulting in the toast opening in half at the end of the toasting as the bread stuck to the plate. Other than that, nice exterior appearance and bright lights.
UPDATE 27.03.25: Unfortunately, I have to change my rating. The plates of the toaster are the worst I have encountered so far. After about 2 months of use, they are ready for the trash... the coating (supposedly ceramic) is of terrible quality, it started coming off from the first weeks little by little, now it has come off in many places and has also yellowed... 1 star is too much. FAR AWAY
