DPF FILTER FOR NISSAN NAVARA D40 2.5DCI 2005+ / NISSAN PATHFINDER R51 2.5DCI 2005+

The DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) is a device installed in the exhaust system of modern diesel vehicles to achieve a reduction in soot emissions. It is necessary to comply with European and Greek emissions standards, which were applied to passenger cars after 2009 according to Euro 5 specifications.

It mainly filters the toxic, microscopic particles emitted by the engine's exhaust gases. Its goal is to reduce harmful particulate emissions by 80% that escape into the atmosphere and can cause serious environmental and health problems.

Since the filters have limited storage capacity, the trapped particles need to be "burned" regularly to regenerate the DPF. If the accumulated soot "blocks" the filter's operation, then the engine and turbo may stop functioning.
